INVESTIGATING AN EMPLOYER
How well does a current or potential employer/position harmonize
with your social and environmental values?
DIGGING UP THE FACTS
- Obtain information from the employer and employees
- "official" materials
- annual report
- other materials for consumption by the general public
and/or potential employees
- internal newsletters and magazines
- publications, statements, etc. related to your
specific concerns
- ask questions and/or have others ask for you
- to recruiter
- at job interview
- to management (group, division, top level)
- to employees (non-management)
- person(s) who has or has had your position
- other employees (in your group, in other parts of
your division, in other divisions)
- former employees (in your group, in other parts of
your division, in other divisions)
- union stewards
- obtain information from advocacy organizations and individuals
